Chandler's Disney College Program Adventures

Ok, so I finally got to Florida and I finally checked in to the Disney College Program!!!!!!! I got the roommates I wanted, and then some, but we are still having a lot of fun!!! I am living in Vista Way in a 3 bedroom apartment, and me and my roomie have our own bathroom (AWESOME!!!!!) We all get along pretty well, for the most part. We all stood in line at Check-In together, we went to Casting together, and a few of us went to Traditions together!!

The day of Check-In was looooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggg!!!!! And it didn’t help that I didn’t sleep well the night before. We met at check-in around 7:15 or 7:30 in the morning, and we stood in line waiting. Luckily, the line moved fast! Then before we knew it, we were in the back of the complex at the pavilion where check-in was!!!  We got through all of the paper work fairly quickly, then we got to choose our room!!! Unfortunately, there were no more 2 bedrooms anywhere, so we had the choice between a 1 bedroom in either Chatham or Patterson or a 3 bedroom in Vista… we chose Vista, it wasn’t our first choice, but we’re okay with it. After choosing our room, we got our property IDs, then found out what time we were going over to Casting. Ours was at 10:30 a.m., so the bus was going to pick us up at 10:15 a.m.; it was only 8:45/9:00 am… so we had some time to kill. While we waited, we went to our apartment (our building is right by the bus stop, and the pools…. SCORE!!!) and looked around and chose our rooms.

Then it was time to go towards the bus to go to Casting!!!! We got to Casting, and the building was AMAZING!!!! Everything was Disney themed (even the doorknob, it looked like the one from Alice in Wonderland!!) and the atrium that you first walk into was the coolest!!! There are pillars everywhere and there are little golden statues on top of them of a Disney character. While waiting, we found out where we are working!! And all of my roommates and I are working in the Magic Kingdom!!!! I am working on Main Street West in the Emporium. In Casting, you have to do more paperwork, and get fingerprinted for the government (no big deal), then finally at the end, you get your training schedule.

After Casting, we had some time to kill before we had to be back on the bus to go to our Welcome Meeting, so we just went to our apartment and chilled. Then we headed over to the buses to go to the Commons for the Welcome Meeting. The Welcome Meeting was long, but it was fun.

For the first two days, we mostly hung out with our families. Then on day 3, we had Traditions! It was probably the coolest thing ever!!! And we became official Cast Members!!!! We even have the name tag to prove it!!

So, it’s been pretty fun so far!!

WOW!!!! I only have 2 more days here in Fort Wayne,and then I’m off to Disney World!!!!! I have most of my things packed up and ready to go!!! Very excited about driving down to Florida with my daddy, grandpas, uncle, and my sissy!!! We will have lots of fun driving down and hanging out in the parks!!!

Holy cow! I leave in 7 days!!! I finally have most of my things packed! The hardest part about packing though is trying to figure out what you really need and what you just want. I think I have done pretty well with doing that, but I still have to pack my movies and shoes!!! That will be hard!!!! Sooo ready to be in Florida and away from the horrid snow in Indiana!

I am down to less than 20 days until I leave for Florida!!!!! And I just started packing, but I still need to buy somethings! I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I will be moving to Florida and living on my own in 19 days!!! Can’t wait to get there!!!

OMG! I only have 29 more days until i leave!! And there is still tons of stuff I still need to get :( But I am soooo ready to be down there!

As if it couldn’t get better, then it does! Yesterday was Christmas, and today marks only 40 days until I leave for the sunny beaches of Florida and of course, Walt Disney World!!! I got so many things for my apartment in Florida for Christmas! I got laundry baskets, and a brush and hair ties, hangers, a coffee pot, and a WAFFLE MAKER!!! I also got a brand new camera so I can take AMAZING pictures while I am in Florida!

And to top it off, I get my cast off of my arm in about 2 weeks!!! I will be so happy when I finally have 2 hands that I can use! Plus my arm has been itching ever since I got the cast on! I hope everyone had a great holiday!
